        <![CDATA[<div>16th Annual Aberdeen Family Fishing Contest</div><div><br /></div><div>May 2 - Saturday 4:00 to 7:00 PM - Cliffwood Beach   </div><div><br /></div><div>Trophy's will be awarded for:</div><div>            1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Adults (over 18), Teens (13-18), Children (under 13). </div><div><br /></div><div>Sign up at the Fisherman's Parking Lot starting at 3:30 PM</div><div><br /></div><div>Rain or Shine, (an electrical storm will cancel the event)</div><div><br /></div><div>The contest is absolutely Free however, you must sign in prior to fishing to be eligible to win.</div><div><br /></div><div>OFFICIAL RULES: </div><div><br /></div><div>    The longest fish (not heaviest) measured from the tip of the nose to the fork of the tail will win.  Stripers under 28" should be measured immediately and returned unharmed.</div><div><br /></div><div>    In case of a tie the first fish measured wins.</div><div><br /></div><div>    All State and/or Federal Fishing Regulations apply.</div><div><br /></div><div>    Eligible species: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish and Black Drum</div><div><br /></div><div>    Anglers need to provide their own equipment. </div><div><br /></div><div>    Fishing is permitted from the mouth of Whale Creek to the Treasure Lake outfall</div><div><br /></div><div>    Fish must be taken by hook &amp; line (bait and/or lures are OK)</div><div><br /></div><div>    The use of boats, kayaks or flotation devices are prohibited</div><div><br /></div><div>    To discourage cheating: Measured fish will be fin clipped and all coolers brought onto the beach are subject to search</div><div><br /></div><div>    All fish MUST be measured before 7:00 PM.</div><div><br /></div><div>    Help keep the beach clean, throw out your trash in the Township provided containers in the parking lot.  Glass Containers of all kinds are now prohibited in Township Parks and Beaches.</div><div><br /></div><div>    Catch &amp; Release, keep only those fish you intend to eat.</div><div><br /></div> ]]>

Regional Domestic Violence Response Team Seeks Additional Volunteers:
Applications Available for Spring Training Session</strong></p>
          <p align="justify">The
Township of Aberdeen Police Department, in collaboration with
180-Turning Lives Around, has a team of specially-trained advocates
available to meet confidentially with victims of domestic violence at
police headquarters 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.. The volunteer
advocates, who are civilian members of the community, work in
conjunction with the police to provide support, information, and
referrals to victims of domestic violence at police headquarters.&nbsp; The
advocates also discuss with the victim their legal rights in regard to
obtaining a Temporary Restraining Order.&nbsp; DVRT volunteers, whose
identities are kept anonymous, are available 24-hours a day to meet
with victims.&nbsp; The volunteer advocates are trained to empower victims

        <![CDATA[<div>Follow along as <a href="http://metaprinter.com">metaprinter.com</a> founder and senior writer Robert Ivan builds a community news blog for Aberdeen Township New Jersey at NJcircles.com/AberdeenTownship.</div><div><br /></div><div>I figure this could be a huge help for many of my readers who are either interested in starting their own community site (some call this BeatBlogging).  To my main stream media readers  who come here to stay on top of news media trends, this entire exercise could be a real lesson in the new realities of online publishing.</div><div><br /></div><div>The site is called NJcircles (because I already had the domain from a previous project) and is located at NJcircles.com/AberdeenTownship and built using Movable Type.  I selected MT because the metaprinter site is built on Wordpress and I've got those skills down pretty good, so I want to learn Movable Type CMS and share that experience as well.   It doesn't hurt that MT is used by power bloggers like Jason Kottke, media companies like National Geographic, and community news sites like Baristanet.</div><div><br /></div><div>Here are the first steps.  I'm going to assume you know how to do certain things so please let me know if you need help and we'll work through this together.</div><div><br /></div><div><div>To follow this series just select NJcircles from the "categories" menu at the top of the metaprinter blog.  In the next installment I will modify the site to give it a more personal look as well as add some links &amp; pages related to my beat.</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://www.metaprinter.com/category/njcircles/feed/">Subscribe to this Category Feed </a></div></div> ]]>
