16th Annual Aberdeen Family Fishing Contest

May 2 - Saturday 4:00 to 7:00 PM - Cliffwood Beach   

Trophy's will be awarded for:
            1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Adults (over 18), Teens (13-18), Children (under 13). 

Sign up at the Fisherman's Parking Lot starting at 3:30 PM

Rain or Shine, (an electrical storm will cancel the event)

The contest is absolutely Free however, you must sign in prior to fishing to be eligible to win.

OFFICIAL RULES: 

    The longest fish (not heaviest) measured from the tip of the nose to the fork of the tail will win.  Stripers under 28" should be measured immediately and returned unharmed.

    In case of a tie the first fish measured wins.

    All State and/or Federal Fishing Regulations apply.

    Eligible species: Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish and Black Drum

    Anglers need to provide their own equipment. 

    Fishing is permitted from the mouth of Whale Creek to the Treasure Lake outfall

    Fish must be taken by hook & line (bait and/or lures are OK)

    The use of boats, kayaks or flotation devices are prohibited

    To discourage cheating: Measured fish will be fin clipped and all coolers brought onto the beach are subject to search

    All fish MUST be measured before 7:00 PM.

    Help keep the beach clean, throw out your trash in the Township provided containers in the parking lot.  Glass Containers of all kinds are now prohibited in Township Parks and Beaches.

    Catch & Release, keep only those fish you intend to eat.
